SOFT STUFF! Soft Bodied Marionettes with M'el Reum

By the end of the week, participants will have sewn, stuffed and strung their own Soft Body Marionette, learned basic marionette manipulation, and created a short performance vignette with their new puppet.

(Rumor has it that M’el Reum and the then teenaged Phillip Huber took a workshop on this style of marionette building many years ago and M’el has been working and perfecting this technique ever since.)

SUPPLIES NEEDED: M’el says “Bring 10 pennies”.  You’ll find out why in her workshop!

MATERIALS FEE: $15

CLASS SIZE: minimum of 4 and maximum of 10

Note: workshops are not open to the public. You must be registered for the entire festival to attend.

M'el Reum
(m'elodious-reuminus)

The typical North American M'el Reum is know by her short hair, glasses and polo shirt. She can be spotted around puppet festivals, thrift shops and yard sales. If sighted, never point at a M'el Reum, especially while wearing a green shirt.
