Registration Fee (Double Occupancy) $590.00/per person. This includes dorm room with a roommate from Tuesday afternoon through Sunday morning, all meals, all performances and your 20 hour workshop (a minimal workshop materials fee may apply).

Your registration includes all PuppetFest Midwest activities from Tuesday afternoon through Sunday morning:
- Room (single or double occupancy) from Tuesday night through Sunday morning
- Meals starting with dinner on Tuesday through lunch on Sunday as well as daily coffee breaks during workshops
- Mainstage performances
- Assorted open stage events, lectures and mini-performances
- Puppet Exhibit
- Swap and Shop Puppetry Flea Market ("Where your trash is someone else's show!")
- The choice of one 20-hour workshop (over a four day period) on various aspects of live puppet theatre performance.
- Late night snacks and an opportunity to gather and chat at The Wild Onion.
Note: Single rooms and rooms with microwaves and refrigerators are assigned to fully-paid registrants on a first-come basis.

Selby Residence Hall, your home away from home at PuppetFest MidWest

Room and Board Information

Lodging is Tuesday through Sunday morning. Selby Residence Hall (opened fall 1997) provides on-campus living and dining for 130 people. Every dorm room includes beds, a sink, a study area, movable furniture and an air conditioner that you can adjust to your own comfort level. Some of the rooms also have a microwave, and a small refrigerator/freezer. These rooms will be assigned on a first come-first serve basis. There are community rooms available with tables, chairs and vending machines where you can gather after hours to chat.

There are NO private bathrooms. There are two communal bathrooms with several toilet stalls and private showers on each floor. Each room includes one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant. You will need to bring your own soap, shampoo and other toiletries. You may also wish to bring your own pillow (dorm pillows never seem to be poofy enough or flat enough to suit some folks), and perhaps an extra blanket, an alarm clock and a reading lamp.

Meals for the festival are served Tuesday dinner through Sunday lunch. A full service cafeteria is located in the lower level of Selby Residence Hall. Delicious entrees, a soup and salad bar and an ice cream sundae area will be provided daily.

Late Night at the Wild Onion Cafe

The North Central Missouri College does not allow alcohol anywhere on campus. This includes the dorms. So, we have rented the fabulous Wild Onion Cafe, located one short block off campus, where we will gather every night for the refreshment of your choice (beer, wine, juice, soft drinks), terrific Wild Onion Cafe food, and great conversation.

For those of you who want to know a little more about what goes on at PuppetFest MidWest, here is a typical day :

Good morning! Wake up after a good night's rest in your comfortable dorm bed.
Time for breakfast with all the PuppetFest MidWest attendees downstairs in the spacious dining hall
Now it's off to your workshops!
Time for a coffee break! Drinks and snacks are all part of the service.
Back to your workshops!
Time for lunch with all the PuppetFest MidWest attendees back in the dining hall.
Get back to those workshops! That puppet is not going to build itself.
I'm getting hungry - how about another coffee break.
Last workshop session for the day.
Now.. a little time to relax. Ah.
Then it's dinner with all the PuppetFest MidWest attendees in the dining hall. Look, a salad bar!
Now for the evening entertainment. A fantastic puppet show at the Grundy County Jewett Norris Library's Hoover Theater.
There's no better way to wrap up a full day of PuppetFest MidWest than with drinks, food and great conversation at the Wild Onion.
